Position Summary

 

Our Nestlé Development Center (NDC) in St. Joseph, MO is home to confident, well socialized dogs and cats who help us learn, research, and better understand the well-being of pets and promote the human animal bond. You'll work alongside a team passionate about pet care that ensures our pets have the best quality of care while participating in cutting edge pet food research. Our center is located near the metropolitan area of Kansas City, within 30 minutes of the Kansas City International airport.  St. Joseph is a tight-knit, rural community packed with character, still within commuting distance to the city thus, providing many residential opportunities.

 

As a Production Planner, you’ll lead the planning, organizing, scheduling efforts for the Pilot Plant trials. You will work cross-functionally with other teams to receive trial requests, review them, and ensure the plant is ready to execute effectively.

 

• Track and review schedule attainment metrics to track schedule adherence and planning
• Provide technical guidance, training, and leadership to the group
• Review Pilot Plant NesTMS trial requests and correct as needed
• Coordinate scheduling and execution of maintenance needed tasks
• Execute and manage safety, sanitation & hygiene programs for the Pilot Plant and ensure adherence to company rules and policy
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in the work area.

 

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 5+ years of end-to-end manufacturing processing/operations experience
• 2+ years of food processing and/or food safety manufacturing experience

 

Other

• 1+ year of direct and/or indirect leadership experience is preferred
• 1+ year of experience with Microsoft office tools such as Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerBI is preferred
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements necessary, such as lifting and carrying up to 50+ pounds, to meet the expectations of job assignments
• Must be willing to work Monday through Thursday from 6:50AM-4:20PM and Friday from 6:50AM-10:50AM.

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $60,000.00 to $92,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
