Description
Visual Analyst
Venesco LLC is looking for an Visual Analyst preferably with military health experience.
In this role you shall provide subject matter expertise to USAFSAM Department of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM/FE), Aerospace Medicine Studies and Analysis Division (FES), Operational Support Team (FESO). FESO was established to provide support to Base Operational Support Teams in the field, oversee program development, data analysis, education, training, and field consultative support. The FESO branch is responsible for supporting embedded medical providers with evidence-based practices and real-time data analytics dashboard of musculoskeletal and mental health risk down to the squadron level. In addition, the FESO branch directs all aspects of an embedded Integrated Operational Support (IOS) training course held at USAFSAM. The team regularly conducts data audits, research and evaluation of programming effectiveness, and tracking of programmatic measures of success. This requirement is for analyst research support that is to be located within the FESO branch of the FES Division, to assist with overall studies and analysis requirements. Responsibilities:
- 1.2.1 The contractor shall coordinate with the Analysis of Waiver Risk Evidence (AWARE) data team to design, conduct, and lead visual and data analyses of operational studies on health surveillance data/health records/other relevant military records and risk reduction of negative health outcomes affecting the DAF total force population, as well as use judgement and originality in developing innovative approaches to define and resolve highly complex situations.
- 1.2.2 The contractor shall be primarily responsible for employing sophisticated tools (such as Tableau or SAS Viya) and processes to analyze datasets using visual representations of the data, as well as display the data in graphs, charts, and maps to help end-users in identifying patterns; thus, develop actionable insights or plans. The insights will aid base level users and other dashboard users make better, data-driven decisions.
- 1.2.3 The contractor shall assist in data collection in support of USAFSAM/FESO’s mission, when appropriate.
- 1.2.4 The contractor shall apply knowledge/expertise to produce interactive visual analytics by assisting in the management of the retrieval and integration of health information data, personnel records, deployment-related records, health surveillance registries, and other military-related data.
- 1.2.5 The contractor shall draft reports, prepare, and/or present reports, documents, and/or presentations pertaining to the status of the studies and visual analyses as requested, and meet AWARE project suspenses.
- 1.2.6 The contractor shall be primarily responsible for updating the graphs and charts as well as generating new data visuals for the Air Force Recruiting Service/Aeromedical Waiver Division (AMWD). Interactive reports created for the AMWD should be able to help end-users track, organize, and share key performance indicators such as health risk and profile reductions, measures of success, return on investments, or health care utilizations.
- 1.2.7 The contractor shall present results of studies or investigations through briefings, technical reports, and publication into scientific journals.
- 1.2.8 The contractor shall apply knowledge of science/technology to analyze and resolve multifaceted issues/problems with minimal guidance and collaborate with technical area stakeholders to develop strategies for effective execution within a particular technology area.
- 1.2.9 The contractor shall provide consultation support to the AMWD regarding data products produced by Analysis of Waiver Risk Evidence (AWARE) and other areas within the specified range of their expertise, as needed.
- 1.2.10 The contract shall interface with USAFSAM/FESO leadership and staff.
Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications
- 1.1.1.1 The contractor shall possess a master’s degree in Epidemiology, Statistics, Data Science, or Bioinformatics and a minimum one year of experience in area of expertise.
- 1.1.1.2 The contractor shall demonstrate advanced visual and data analytical skills in population health and health data surveillance.
- 1.1.1.3 The contractor shall possess a demonstrated record of designing, conducting, and leading visual as well as data analyses of health surveillance data/health records/other relevant military records.
- 1.1.1.4 The contractor shall demonstrate proficiency in the following software programs: Tableau, Microsoft Office, Statistical Analysis System/Enterprise Guide (SAS/SAS EG).
