Role SummaryAs a Senior Manager, Indirect Procurement, you will be responsible for all commercial aspects of the awarding of new business, developing strong supplier relationships, and working side by side with our engineering counterparts to push the envelope of our technical requirements. You will take the lead ensuring suppliers deliver to our aggressive timelines, and parts are received at the highest level of quality. You will also support the Sr Director of Supply Chain in making sure Divergent can meet its cost targets. In our team, we expect our people to own every aspect of the sourcing process from start to finish and everything in between. This role reports to the Senior Director of Supply Chain. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record developing and executing strategy, negotiating master agreements and statements of work, and managing supplier performance through KPIs and face-to-face negotiation. Experience working in new and ambiguous environments while solving complex problems with a broad range of cross functional stakeholders will be an advantage. Specifically, In This Role You WillWork with a range of stakeholders including business leaders, engineering leaders, legal, program management, and supply chain to negotiate a variety of agreements and contracts including term sheets, MOUs, NDAs, SOWs, development agreements, component purchase agreements and othersInfluence suppliers' processes, technology decisions, and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizationsPrioritize projects and activities to deliver maximum cost reductions and reliable on-time deliveryManage cross-functional projects against plans and objectives to meet commitments and goalsEffectively lead cross-functional meetings with clear document writing, agenda creation, note capture and follow-up activity coordinationLead a procurement team to help you accomplish these objectives
ResponsibilitiesDevelop sourcing strategies by analyzing the supply base, market conditions, and technology roadmapsLead contractual negotiations with suppliers on NDA’s, General Terms & Conditions and Production Supply AgreementsIdentify potential suppliers, analyze capabilities and develop a sourcing strategy and roadmap for Divergent stakeholdersPerform detailed analysis of quote submissions based on cost, quality and lead time in relation to program requirementsDrive and implement cost reductions on prototype and production programs through leveraged negotiations to achieve cost and lead time targetsManage supplier relationships and performance through key performance metricsWork closely alongside Program Management to support prototype requirements, execute against build milestones and track sourcing progressSupport Supplier Quality plant audits and technical reviewsPlace purchase orders and resolve downstream issues with receiving, finance, and accounting
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related disciplines required5+ years of supply chain experience in progressive rolesExperience with technical procurementEffective written, verbal, and presentation skillsAbility to read drawings and blueprintsExceptional analytical and organizational skillsGood interpersonal skills and prior experience managing employeesHigh level of integrityAnalytical skills to ensure both internal and external requests are fulfilledAttention to detail to ensure specifications being requested are receivedAbility to work independently, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentExperience with aerospace manufacturing is a strong positiveMust be a U.S. Person because of required access to U.S. export-controlled information What You’ll Get :
