We’re seeking a dynamic and globally minded Assistant Director for the Center for International Business Studies at Mays Business School to provide leadership in managing faculty-led study abroad programs and scholarships that empower the next generation of international business leaders. As the Assistant Director you will collaborate with faculty, support students, and shape impactful global experiences. Ideal candidates have the ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders, strong organizational skills and a sincere passion for international education and student success.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Six years of related experience managing program(s) in education, non-profit, study abroad or corporate settings.
Preferred Qualifications
Three or more years of experience in a student-focused environment.
Experience with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience working with vendors, students, parents and/or administrators
Experience studying, living and/or working abroad
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills while maintaining attention to detail.
Proficiency in word, spreadsheet, and presentation software applications.
Essential Duties/Tasks
Faculty-led Program Management - Coordinates faculty-led programs at the Center for International Business Studies (CIBS), including planning, implementation, and evaluation. Supports program development with faculty, departments, and global partners, including TAMU Education Abroad. Identifies/mentors potential faculty leaders to support U.S. Department of Education’s CIBER program objectives. Collaborates with CIBS leadership to develop and expand programs, advising on logistics, course content, providers, and student selection. Identifies faculty leaders, manages applications, monitors enrollment, and oversees billing and vendor payments.
Course, Certificate, and Scholarship Management - Coordinates/schedules the international business course offerings in the university’s ASTRA and SRS systems. Liaises with Mays department advisors to ensure cross-listed courses accuracy using Howdy and CARS. Submits student curricular updates and adjustments for CIBS certificate programs in the University Adjustment System and assists the director with annual assessment and review of all CIBS certificate programs and associated requirements in the university’s AEFIS system and university Catalog. Responsible for managing the Center's scholarships and provides summaries and statistics of applicable data as required. Manages student records and the CIBER databases, communications, and marketing.
Communications - Corresponds/interacts with students and parents regarding program details and troubleshoots application problems. Responsible for student advising and holding office hours to consult the students on CIBS programs.
