Backend Software Engineer

Position Overview: 

Intapp is looking for a Backend Engineer to work with our growing product team.  

You will own the design and development of projects using modern technologies built on Microsoft Azure Cloud solutions. This senior engineering role offers the opportunity to provide technical leadership and experience to the existing team.  

The candidate will maintain a high level of code quality focused on engineering testing and quality into your development process. 

What you will do: 

• Develop code to company / industry standards working closely with wider development team 

• Build micro-services and implement system architecture 

• Take ownership of key technology decisions, build for scale and optimize for output 

• Make technical decisions and implement further improvements on backend services 

• Translate business requirements into new backend services or apply changes to existing system 

• Willing to work in multi time zone environment as our team members are dispersed across Berlin, U.S. and Lisbon.  

What you will need: 

• Good understanding in JavaScript, Java, Python programming languages 

• Experience with containerization and Kubernetes. 

• Hands-on experience working on clouds providers (especially Azure) 

• Experience with containerization and Kubernetes 

• Familiarity with micro-services, automatic deployment in the cloud using CI/CD, automatic error and failure handling, system integration and testing 

• Understanding and working experience of Kubernetes deployment process, message queue systems (Kafka, AQS), service to service communication (REST, GraphQL) 

• Good understanding of data schema concepts & databases (Postgres) 

• Enthusiastic on developing efficient, clean and maintainable code 

• You have worked in an agile software development area and feel comfortable in this culture. Furthermore, you can comfortably build consensus with the whole development team working in various time zones 

• You have a demonstrated ability to mentor junior developers, providing guidance and support to help them improve their technical knowledge and skills
