Position Summary:
Performs nursing functions under the direction of a registered nurse, follows the plans of care, participates in care planning, and performs nursing actions in accord with facility policy and state and federal law. This position provides direct care to brain and spinal cord injured patients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Documents observations and care given according to company policies and procedures. Administers medications and provides treatments as ordered.
- Administers basic nursing care measures to the rehab patient
- Admits, transfers, and discharges patients. Observes, records, and reports subjective and objective patient symptoms and responses to care.
- Provides physical and emotional support to the patient.
- Provides for dietary and fluid needs of the patient such as nourishment, feeding, tube feeding, observing and recording IV fluids and maintaining an accurate fluid intake and output.
- Takes and record vital signs: temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure
Job Qualifications:
- Licensed LPN in the State of Florida
- 1 year of experience in skilled, rehabilitation or medical surgical setting.
- IV Certified Preferred
- Current Hands on BLS Certification
Compensation: Experience and education may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
Shift-Full Time 32 hours per week, Available shifts 7a-3p, 3p-11p
