Description
The Denver Waldorf School (DWS) is seeking a qualified candidate for the full-time position of Community Liaison for the 2024-25 school year.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Oversees community-building events.
- Coordinates parent education.
- Optimizes communication between DWS and families.
- Works with Parent Council.
- Coordinates transitions between schools: ECE to Lower Grades, Lower Grades to Middle School, Middle School to High School, High School to alumni.
- Volunteer Coordinator.
Qualifications:
- Outgoing and friendly: Exhibits a welcoming and positive demeanor, enjoys engaging with others.
- Compassionate: Demonstrates empathy and is supportive of others' needs and concerns.
- Supportive Listener: Able to provide a considerate and non-judgmental space for people to share their issues.
- Educational Background: Possesses some knowledge or education in anthroposophy.
- Familiar with Denver Waldorf School: Understands the principles and values of the Denver Waldorf School.
- Committed: Shows a strong investment in the mission and community of the school.
The Denver Waldorf School
The Denver Waldorf School is an urban school close to the Rocky Mountains. The school was founded in 1974 and enrolls approximately 300 students in pre-K through Grade 12. The school is an accredited member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) and the Association of Colorado Independent Schools (ACIS). The school’s mission is to awaken and inspire students’ critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and artistic expression, preparing them to bring relevant contributions to the world.
