Role Description

Are you ready to lead a team driving operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We’re seeking a dynamic Industrial Engineering Manager to spearhead the design and implementation of cutting-edge factory layouts and material flow systems that reduce waste, increase throughput, and enhance overall productivity.

In this pivotal role, you’ll manage a team of talented engineers, guiding them through complex challenges and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You'll have the opportunity to lead transformative projects from concept to execution, ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery while championing lean manufacturing principles that streamline operations and boost efficiency.

As a cross-functional leader, you’ll collaborate with key departments—production, maintenance, supply chain—to tackle bottlenecks and optimize factory performance. With a focus on data-driven decision-making, you’ll identify trends, implement innovative solutions, and drive lasting improvements.

This opportunity is based out of Form Energy's Weirton, WV facility. Relocation assistance is available.

What you'll do:

  • Factory layout & Material flow : design , develop and implement factory layout and  material system & equipment to meet operational excellence, reduce waste, and increase throughput.

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of industrial engineers and other technical staff. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance.

  • Project Management: Lead engineering projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and meeting quality standards.

  • Lean Manufacturing: Promote and implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.

  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze production & equipment data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets for the engineering department, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all engineering activities comply with safety regulations and standards. Lead initiatives to improve workplace safety.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments (e.g., production, maintenance, supply chain, manufacturing engineering) to resolve issues and improve overall factory performance.

  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation and the adoption of best practices.

  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on engineering activities, project progress, and performance metrics for senior management.
