Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Windows Desktop Support Tech, supporting TOS II, at Arnold Air Force Base, TN. As a Windows Desktop Support Tech, you will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for support and maintenance of Desktops and Peripherals for the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Open to internal and external candidates. The selected candidate for this requisition may be required to occasionally (e.g. application upgrades) work outside normal business hours.

Job Summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) is the team selected by the U.S. Air Force to conduct Test and Operations Sustainment at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee. AEDC operates more than 55 aerodynamic and propulsion wind tunnels, rocket and turbine engine test cells, space environmental chambers, arc heaters, ballistic ranges and other specialized units located in six states. Many of the complex's test units have capabilities unmatched elsewhere in the United States; some are unique in the world. AEDC is one of three installations which are part of the Air Force Test Center (AFTC), one of six subordinate commands of the Air Force Materiel Command organization, and an important national resource.

AEDC’s mission is to conduct developmental tests and evaluations for the Nation through modeling, simulation, and ground and flight test. Execution of the mission requires a large team of highly qualified and dedicated professionals from multiple technical disciplines to effectively accomplish the objectives of our test customers.

BNH currently has an exciting career opportunity available for a Windows Desktop Support Tech to join our team at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee.

Job Duties:

Provide desktop hardware and software support for end-users.
Image and deploy Windows 11 client computers to areas across the Base.
Maintain working knowledge of equipment hardware, software and/or networks and participate in the review of new technologies.
Install and configure desktops, laptops, printers, etc...
Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and resolve any issues that arise.
Analyze and resolve hardware, software, or network issues.
Configure and maintain Office 365 environment and ensure smooth operation.
Monitor and resolve Helpdesk tickets.
Implement and manage vulnerability patches to ensure system security.
System security configuration, hardening, patching, and monitoring, including implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and other DoD security policies.
Ensure Cybersecurity requirements are consistently documented, maintained, evaluated and compliant for Air Force IT system networks including components of systems.
Work with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to ensure compliance with information assurance regulations and best practices.
Provide training to users for the use of hardware, software, and/or peripherals.
Support the use of common work processes and procedures within assigned function across the TOS contract.
Availability outside of working hours to remediate critical issues with IT Infrastructure as required.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
