The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Administrative Assistant 4, Academic Affairs Department, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine [R0147397]
ROLE of the POSITION
The Division of Student Affairs is seeking an Administrative Assistant IV to provide administrative support for the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and other team members in the Division. This role is essential for the smooth day-to-day operations of the department and involves a variety of responsibilities including:
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support: Manage the Assistant Dean's calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate departmental setups. Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and external entities on behalf of the Assistant Dean.
Operational Coordination: Oversee daily business operations such as budgets, purchasing, and travel arrangements. Ensure compliance with university policies and act as a liaison with various UNLV departments.
Onboarding and Orientation: Collaborate with Student Affairs team members to execute onboarding and orientation for incoming medical students. Manage facilities, vendors, and student health insurance enrollment.
Event and Student Organization Support: Assist in planning and executing student events. Support student organizations and maintain systems for event management and reporting.
Compliance Management: Oversee compliance requirements, including HIPAA, OSHA, and student health records. Coordinate CPR and mask fit testing for medical students.
Additional Support: Provide seasonal support for department initiatives, research projects, and process improvements.
Workday Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following
