The regional area of MWDSC is awaiting an adventurous experienced Construction Manager to join a dynamic “CAN DO” Team of Black and Veatch Professionals. Leadership skills, managing challenging projects at the Nation’s largest municipality, sounds like you have drafted your career choice position. As a Senior Manager you will be in the forefront of Southern California’s most central pursuits, working with established Teams to first deliver compelling and influential proposals; then lead the delivery executing on challenging water conveyance, water reuse, pump station, collection systems, or treatment plant projects. These skills set you apart from the competition: Industry Leader in thoughtful and effective oral, written, and presentation delivery skills. - Maintaining a collaborative working environment with ALL projects stakeholders
- Coach for Team success by demonstrating assertive Team leadership for all areas of safety, quality and morale.
- Team leader for plan and specification constructability review
- Field Team Leader for ALL efforts of coordination, especially in the MOPO and plant shutdown critical activities
- Become the “GO to Team Member” amongst the stakeholder Team of Owners onsite staff, design Team reps, contractors and local regulators.
- Coach for Team success by demonstrating assertive Team leadership for all areas of safety, quality and morale.
- Champion of resolving complex Team issues associated with challenging large-scale construction projects.
Management Responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
- BS degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline or, 18+ years of experience in the same field in lieu of this degree
- Application of Construction Management processes and extensive financial reporting whether from Construction Contractor or Consultant engagement
- 10 – 15 Years experience in the construction efforts for building structures, treatment plants, pump stations and conveyance
