Accounting Lead

Core Responsibilities

1. Leads monthly close activities for designated areas, including review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial analyses and ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards. Prepares and communicates financial results to management and stakeholders.

2. Proactively identifies risks, issues, and opportunities for the team and department.  Shares knowledge and assists colleagues with problem resolution. 

3. Maintains expert knowledge on accounting standards and relevant financial systems. 

4. Builds and maintains strong relationships with key business partners and stakeholders.

5. Leads/participates in ad-hoc projects/initiatives.

6. Supports and assists the annual audit process by coordinating requests and information.  Answers auditor’s inquiries.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ related work experience in an accounting or financial reporting environment.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Finance or Accounting degree preferred. Graduate degree preferred.
• Experience with Oracle Analytics or other data analysis software preferred.
• CPA preferred.
