The team collaborates closely with the WB Management Team (WBMT), their business managers, and key stakeholders across Finance, HR, Risk, Communications, Tech, Operations, Regulatory &amp; International Affairs, and Investor Relations. Together, they drive the execution of WB’s strategy and ensure delivery on key objectives.</p><p></p><p><b>Your role </b></p><p>As a Business Manager, you’ll be at the heart of strategic decision-making at the highest level of the bank. This role offers a broad perspective on ING’s global operations and allows you to work across strategic, tactical, and operational dimensions. You’ll act as a connector between business units across the Cube and the network, helping to ensure effective and efficient execution.</p><p>This is a developmental role designed to accelerate your career within WB, offering broad exposure and a strong internal network.</p><p></p><p><b>Your responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Support the Head of WB and the WBMT, facilitating effective discussions and delivering high-quality, fact-based inputs to support robust executive decision-making.</li><li>Implement and execute strategic initiatives sponsored by WB, including new initiatives, cross-functional requests, and internal process improvements. Ensure alignment across client, functional, and geographic dimensions.</li><li>Prepare impactful communications, presentations, and briefing materials (e.g. WB Lives, leadership calls, MBB/SB strategic dialogues, local/business line townhalls), and coordinate key events for WBMT and the WB Leadership Team (e.g. WBMT offsites, Leadership Days).</li><li>Coordinate the global target-setting (KPI) process for WB, ensuring effective communication and cascading across teams, and oversee quarterly tracking and reporting.</li><li>Plan and prepare country visits in close collaboration with Country Managers and their local team.</li><li>Prepare briefings and background materials for the Head of WB’s engagements with key external stakeholders, particularly regulators such as the ECB and DNB, and manage relationships with strategic partners like the World Economic Forum, including coordination for major global conferences such as Davos, Sibos, COP, and IMF meetings.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>About you</b></p><ul><li>You are eager to learn, thrive in dynamic environments, and maintain strong work ethics under pressure.</li><li>You bring sharp analytical skills, a structured approach, and the ability to prioritise effectively.</li><li>You create clear, compelling presentations and briefings using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.</li><li>You understand the WB strategy, products, and processes, and can translate that into meaningful contributions.</li><li>You are organisationally sensitive and skilled at building engagement and buy-in across all levels.</li><li>You collaborate naturally, listening actively, challenging constructively, and helping teams move forward.</li><li>You are discrete and able to handle sensitive information – CISO screening is required.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Rewards and benefits</span></b></p><p><span>We want to make sure that it’s possible for you to strike the right balance between your career and your private life.
