Overview

This Senior Manager leads teams of professionals who serve as partners to Global Marketing product management team, other Marketing staff and Global Partner Office. Through cross-functional collaboration, he or she works with Global Program to ensure effective testing, development and implementation of current and new product strategies. He or she strategically supports national office staff to equip, educate and ensure product servicing commitments are delivered according to agreements with Global Marketing. Also provides full talent management of professional staff including hiring, discipline, and termination, as well as, coaching, performance management, assigning, checking, and approving work to satisfy broad objectives and department strategies. The incumbent will ensure completion of department responsibilities, calling on available resources to achieve department objectives, working within approved budget.

What will you do?

  • · Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
  • Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.
  • Provides leadership and development to direct reports. Works with staff to foster an environment of professional growth, in alignment with compassion’s strategies and objectives. Consult with peer management and senior leaders to successfully align departmental resources and priorities across Compassion.
  • Contributes to or prepares and administers the annual budget and departmental expenses, ensuring accountability for on-time completion of deliverables based on department objectives, SLAs, and other Compassion standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory and board policies.
  • Selects, manages and develops assigned staff, establishing goals and objectives, coaching and managing performance, including discipline, motivation, and annual reviews; supports continuous learning and development that enhances individual performance and organizational capability. · In collaboration with the Office of the Chief Marketing Officer (OCMO) and Global Philanthropic Engagement (GPE), supports the global strategy and design of Targeted Response products, including standards and measures, while setting strategic priorities and direction for a team of subordinate managers and professionals and aligning strategies with divisional and corporate strategies.
  • Engages with cross-departmental product leaders to develop and champion strategies for collaborative program and product design.
  • Provides support for neighbor education on Global Program needs and implementation.
  • Provides high level management and leadership to product support, serving the needs of Global Marketing and Global Partner Offices. Drives collaboration with marketing teams, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of program realities in the field through communication and education resources.
  • Drives continuous improvement for this function and areas of influence through leadership and management of subordinate managers and professionals.
  • Provides high level management and leadership to creating, monitoring and using appropriate metrics for the domain to ensure/improve quality of product implementation internationally.
  • Stays current with industry trends and programmatic advances impacting this domain.

What do you bring?

  • 5 years of people management experience
  • Background in multi-national development organization marketing and product development and management.

  • Demonstrated ability to relate to the Global Marketing team.
