Who are you?

 

We are seeking a UX Designer to join our dynamic team. As a member of the larger Product team, you will help shape our global health and wellbeing product by applying hands-on UX design and product thinking skills. Our personalized health platform provides best-in-class health plan administration, holistic wellbeing, and benefits administration solutions for more than 20 million users across 20+ languages and 190 countries. From the web to wearables, from iOS to Android and other connected devices, Personify Health provides simplified, personalized, and connected solutions to empower people to live their healthiest lives.

 

As a mid-level designer, you will enjoy a wide mix of work ranging from consumer-style health app design to complex back-end administrative interfaces. You will create not only end-state UI but also strategic artifacts including user flows, journey maps, service blueprints, wireframes, and prototypes. You will join an innovative product experience team that includes product managers; UX designers, researchers, writers; and other specialists in a highly collaborative agile environment.

 

This role may be remote or can be based in Providence, RI. Please submit a portfolio of recent work along with your application.

 

In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:  

 

We nerd out on health and behavior change principles. We collaborate weekly on work in flight, listen to playlists while we design together, brainstorm innovative futures in “blue sky” sessions, and constantly share resources and talk about industry trends. We have the flexibility to lead our own research studies or lean on our devoted researchers’ expertise. We encourage all team members to contribute to our vision from whichever corner they inhabit. We value continuous learning, sharing what you know, and supporting others at every level.

• Articulate needs and craft persuasive, strategic artifacts (wireframes, user flows, journey maps, service blueprints, etc.) to communicate journeys, highlight areas of improvement, build buy-in, and focus teams.
• Use fundamental principles of visual design (hierarchy, progressive disclosure, typography, grid, color systems, proximity), HCI best practices, and established usability principles and guidelines to create industry leading UI.
• Work closely with and adopt the team's design system, ensuring consistent design patterns and experiences across the product platforms.
• Communicate designs for successful development annotations, redlining, and interactive prototypes to demonstrate detailed product interactions.
• Identify the right method and tools, create UX action plans, and structure and conduct effective discussions and evaluations of user needs that gets beyond the surface opinions (what users say) to reveal user goals (what users want).
• Explain and present your work, with thorough context, in a well-structured way which promotes the design thinking process and grows the UX maturity of teams.
• Facilitate discussions and workshops with cross-functional stakeholders around the key problems to be solved to ensure aligned delivery against project objectives, to explain process and/or reasoning, and to identify assumptions, hypotheses, and key questions for larger discovery efforts.
• Manage requirements, plan, and schedule work to prioritize and maximize the efficiency of delivery using agile best practices.
• Act as a trustworthy partner, delivering work on time across multiple projects, workstreams, stakeholders, and phases in the design process.
