About the Role 

Five Rings is looking for a Compliance Specialist in Amsterdam to join its global compliance team. The team is charged with establishing, implementing and maintaining adequate policies and procedures to ensure compliance of the firm with its legal and regulatory obligations. In this position, placed within a MiFID investment firm, tasks will primarily include surveillance and monitoring of trading activity, training and inducting staff, documenting new policies, managing regulatory reporting and communication, administering existing policies, and monitoring regulatory developments and best practices. The Compliance Associate will work closely with the existing team on all facets of the compliance program, such as new local and global policies and procedures and business advisory matters. 

About You 

The candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, impeccable professional background, and at least 3 years of relevant experience at or with MiFID investment firms dealing on own account. Ability to work independently, organization, superior attention to detail, and ability to multitask are required. Prior work at a regulatory agency (e.g., AFM), experience with derivative markets, and a legal background are each a plus. General computer literacy and comfort are required. English fluency is also required. Seeking those willing to learn the compliance function from start to finish, advising trading desks and supervising outside counsel, but also willing to roll up sleeves and do anything that comes up, whether it’s routine, complex, or even unrelated to primary function.
