Senior Product Manager, R&D

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operations processes for R&D and Product
• Experience managing Release Management, Tier 3 support, and Technical Documentation functions
• Analyzing data to help product management make better-informed decisions 
• Develop, maintain and report on Product KPIs
• Developing processes to streamline product development
• Managing tools (for roadmapping, scheduling, etc) that the product team uses
• Lead technical documentation to improve presentations, and product and release note documentation
• Lead the Release Management Process
• Support Tier 3&4 in partnership with QA in R&D to streamline communication and timely fixes
• Lead product request reviews to ensure timely response and grooming of the backlog for implementation 
• Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives for progress to completion
• Partner with PMO to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables and supporting Project Management best practices
• Develop, maintain and train on cyber security standard operations
• Manage content for delivering market sizzle videos for product launches

Requirements

Experience and Education

• Bachelor's Degree in CS, IT, Networking, or similar competency preferred.
• 15+ years of Product Development experience with Project Management, SDLC and Operations.
• Strong experience with project management working with multiple functions.
• Solid experience with Project Management Tools such as Smartsheet, Jira and Confluence
• Strong collaborative interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Software or Hardware development background is a plus.
• Effectively communicate technical information and ideas.
• Effectively present information and respond to questions from the team members.
• Effectively document technical information and present it clearly and simply to non-technical executives.
• Demonstrated skills with both internal and external customers.
• Ability to implement process improvements.
• Effectively work within deadlines and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Quickly learn new skills, and processes related to Product Development Process and Operations.
• Ability to troubleshoot, research and solve challenging problems within DevOps space.
• Knowledge of industry best practices and ability to apply to improve the existing process.
