About the Team
The AI incubation team has built one of the best-performing SLMs in the industry with world class talents. We are dedicated to incubating AI breakthroughs, working on a variety of topics not limited to federated AI, Reinforcement Learning for Agentic AI, Multimodality, LLM pre/post-training, and AI Evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Incubating foundation techniques for AGI, including new model structure, optimization techniques and distributed learning algorithms.

• Incubating game-changing AI applications which will create huge potential business impact.

• Pre/Post-training and RL on foundation models and open source LLMs.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve unique product problems across Zoom AI Companion, Zoom Virtual Agent (ZVA), and Zoom Revenue Accelerator (ZRA).

What we’re looking for

• Possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning or related field and 5 years of experience.

• Have a solid foundation in AI research or strong engineering practice in large scale distributed systems.

• Be proficient in one of these programming languages: Python/C/C++/CUDA, and deep learning frameworks, such as PyTorch, Transformers and Deepspeed.

• Have experience in model pre/post-training and evaluation.

• Demonstrate AI dedication through sharing academic or personal AI projects and enthusiasm for new possibilities.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$143,000.00

Maximum:

$312,800.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.
