About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is ready to grow their career and make an immediate impact in shaping the way our clients work. You will play a key role in expanding our Compliance product by building out microservices on AWS, creating scalable data models in MongoDB, writing reusable UI components with React, and leading initiatives alongside a caring and motivated team.
FloQast is a SaaS-based company innovating solutions in the task management software and accounting space. Our flagship product’s fresh approach to the accounting close process already dramatically improves the day-to-day lives of accountants— and we’ve brought that same approach to help streamline compliance processes such as SOX and ITGC. Our compliance product empowers auditors and control owners to achieve the highest degree of transparency and accuracy within their processes and saves them countless hours, days, and weeks of time.

This role is for a Senior Software Engineer and the base pay range for this position is $150,000 - $210,000. Compensation is not limited to base salary. FloQast values our Total Rewards, and offers a competitive and elaborate Benefits Package including, but not limited to, Medical, Dental, Vision, Family Forming benefits, Life & Disability Insurance, Unlimited Vacation, and participation in our Employee Stock Program. FloQast reserves the right to amend, change, alter, and revise pay ranges and benefits offerings at any time. What You'll Do
- Collaborate with teammates to define specs, deliver code, write tests, perform code reviews, and deploy products across multiple environments
- Partner with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Product Designers, and other cross-functional members to effectively and efficiently design solutions to customer problems
- Execute full-stack solutions that delight our customers, from building out serverless microservices on AWS to crafting reusable UI components with React
- Learn and discover new technologies and concepts that help solve problems while growing your career in a supportive environment. You will be challenged to learn and use new technologies like the ever-growing AWS ecosystem, Redux Toolkit, D3, and much more.
What You'll Bring
- 6+ years experience with web technologies in a professional environment
- Deep understanding of JavaScript
- Professional experience with Node.js, MongoDB, AWS, React, or other equivalent MERN-style tech stacks
- Customer-focused mentality and a desire to demonstrate craftsmanship in - and ownership of - every project you take on
- The ability to work on and produce effective solutions with minimal hand-holding in a highly collaborative Agile environment
- The ability to think in patterns and quickly evaluate and make decisions regarding frameworks, platforms, APIs, and additional technologies
- Recognition of the importance of the team in your success, and the ability to mentor and lift the skills and expertise of your teammates
