Job Summary
Directly responsible for the overall management of the accounting department, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams. Leads teams in implementing best practices and current strategies to ensure the enterprise's financial integrity. Drives the development and enforcement of accounting policies to reflect ethical and up-to-date accounting best practices. Oversees the preparation of accurate reports, presentations for executive leadership, and timely and accurate sales tax returns.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and coach Operations Accounting team members to foster their professional growth.
Oversee accounting department activities, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Direct accounting activities to ensure a timely and accurate month-end close.
Support finance teams in the forecasting and annual budget processes.
Review balance sheet reconciliations and prepare detailed fluctuation analyses for accounting leadership.
Maintain accounting policies and procedures.
Prepare monthly and quarterly sales tax returns.
Perform month-end reconciliations.
Prepare monthly balance sheets.
Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of monthly closing processes.
Review monthly financial results, focusing on revenue and materials/supplies trends, and recommend corrective actions to address variances from the plan.
Communicate any material changes to forecasts or budgets promptly.
Manage assigned internal controls and ensure compliance with company policy, using a risk-based approach.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, automate processes, and accelerate the month-end close.
Ensure the security and integrity of Rentokil North America's financial information.
Assist with internal and external audits.
CANDIDATE SUMMARY
Required Experience
3+ years of experience in progressive finance and accounting roles
1+ years of people management experience
Strong working knowledge/understanding of accounting principles – GAAP, IFRS
Solid technical skills and ability to learn new systems – Navision, Microsoft office (excel, word, PowerPoint), and Google tools
Experience with a multi-unit organization

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent relevant experience - Required
Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field – Preferred
