Work Experience Description:

Ideal for students who have begun gaining relevant experience and are building their skills through internships, part-time jobs, or significant projects. Typically aimed at sophomores or juniors who have completed a combination of introductory and advanced coursework.

Job Summary:

The CFM Teaching Assistant (TA) helps instructors with grading, preparing materials, and managing in-class and hands-on learning activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Fulfills various clerical duties such as filing, copying, etc. in order to keep organized records.
• Assisting with grading, prep, and class organization through the Canvas LMS.
• Setting up and taking down shop/lab spaces for course-related projects.
• Coaching students on assignments and lab procedures.
• Performing lab/shop maintenance and project work with an emphasis on safe tool use.
• Assisting with general classroom and course-related administrative tasks
• Supporting communications efforts, including content for social media and reports as needed
• Collaborating on departmental initiatives with the administrative assistant
• Working with other student CFM employees on related duties
• Assisting in any other duties related to the CFM program research and tutoring as assigned
• Must exemplify the University Honor Code, including the dress and grooming principles and expectations
