Project Manager -- Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. - Erwin, TN
Summary Description of Job:
Responsible for management of all phases of small projects or part of larger projects. Accountable for financial and technical success of project or segment of project. Develops project execution plans across disciplines. Understands impact of project on client's business objectives. Improve project cost effectiveness and apply change amangement principles and improve margins. Influences and negotiates technical and scope issues. Develop project management skills to assume project responsibility. Basic understanding of a portion of the company's business. Can explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Typically manages projects with contract values up to $10 million.
2. May have bottom-line accountability for the financial and technical success of the project or area of responsibility.
3. Promotes a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and success. Leans from other leaders. Demonstrates company values.
4. Manages project personnel to achieve project objectives.
5. Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
6. Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
7. Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- The position's duties include design reviews and approval of change packages; enforcement of codes, standards, and conventions; and special projects as determined by Engineering management. Specifies design standards in accordance with NEC, ISA, NFS, and other standards as appropriate.
- Other assignments as deemed appropriate by supervisory management.
- Reviews proposed designs and recommends changes that will improve cost, efficiency, and safety.
- Complete assignments in accordance with engineering procedures, practices & standards, and good work practices.
Education:
B. S. -- Engineering or Technical discipline with 6 years' project experience or other non-technical 4-year degree plus 12 years' project experience OR in lieu of degree 14 years' of project management experience.
Experience Requirements (Beyond educational or equivalent):
With Engineering or Technical degree, six to eight years experience with 2 years experience in at least two of the following: Engineering, Finance/Accounting, Project Controls, Legal, Procurement or 6 years related project experience. Experience in human relations and communication skills is critically important for interface with customers and clients.
Pay: $$114,000 - $$165,000
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $$114,000 and $$165,000 per year.
