<p><strong>Do you have a passion for international trade and a desire to empower Swedish companies in their international growth? </strong><strong>In today’s geopolitical environment,</strong> <strong>trade regulations, especially tariffs and customs procedures are no longer just operational concerns—they are issues of high strategic importance.</strong></p> <p>We are now looking for a Senior Trade Advisor who can guide Swedish companies through this complex environment and provide hands-on advice on trade regulations, especially on tariffs and customs related issues. </p> <p><strong>About us</strong></p> <p>Business Sweden has a unique mandate, assigned by the Swedish government and the private sector to accelerate the global growth of Swedish companies, and support international companies to invest and expand in Sweden.</p> <p>The team Trade &amp; Invest Facilitation, consist of advisors with different expertise within export procedures to support Swedish companies growing their international sales. We provide free of charge advisory services, trainings, digital tools and function as an internal center of expertise in international consulting projects.</p> <p>The team is based in Stockholm, Sweden.</p> <p><strong>About the role</strong></p> <p>We are seeking you who combine deep technical expertise with a strategic mindset and the ability to communicate clearly with both operational teams and executive stakeholders.</p> <p>You will engage daily with businesses to foster better export outcomes for Swedish companies.</p> <p><strong>Your tasks will mainly involve, but not be limited to:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Deliver tailor made advisory to companies with various inquiries about export procedures, such as customs formalities and strategic customs planning, export documents, logistics and delivery terms.</li> <li>Responsible for developing and keeping our online guides up to date.</li> <li>Staying ahead of evolving trade regulations within your field of expertise and leveraging these insights to the benefit of our customers as well as identifying new opportunities for developing our services and partnerships.</li> <li>You’re expected to organize and participate as a lecturer in our open webinars and corporate training sessions. This will vary depending on your field, and level of expertise.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Core competencies and collaborative skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate commitment, honesty, and accountability in tasks.</li> <li>Provide support and take ownership to ensure high quality delivery on time.</li> <li>Collaborate effectively to achieve good results with a positive can-do attitude.</li> <li>Contribute to team spirit and transparent communication.</li> <li>A problem solver who easily adapts to new ways of working.</li> <li>Voice your own ideas and share opinions. Show appreciation for different perspectives.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Formal requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as economy, law or engineering.</li> <li>Bring a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in international trade, with a strong understanding of trade procedures, both within the single market and outside of the EU.</li> <li>Possess a background from a similar role with a consultancy firm, the Swedish Customs or an exporting company. Understanding of transfer pricing is meriting.</li><li>Have the ability to understand complex regulatory frameworks and transform that into practical advice on customs strategy.</li><li>Demonstrate effective presentation skills.</li><li>Possess excellent proficiency in both written and spoken Swedish and English.</li><li>Have a keen interest in, and be curious about, the practical aspects of international trade and drive to enhance our service offerings in this domain.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Application</strong></p> <p>Please submit your CV and cover letter in English as soon as possible as we will be screening applications on a rolling basis.
