Overview
The Supplier Quality Engineer – Chassis / ADAS is responsible for ensuring that suppliers meet Scout Motors’ quality standards throughout the product lifecycle. This includes advanced quality planning, launch support, and ongoing performance management of suppliers for Chassis and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) components.
What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
Audit Management
- Plan, coordinate, and lead complete vehicle audit processes aligned with customer and internal quality standards.
- Simulate customer experience to identify quality concerns before delivery.
- Develop and maintain systematic audit schedules.
Quality Control
- Analyze audit data to identify quality trends and systemic issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and design to resolve quality concerns.
- Drive effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Team Leadership
- Mentor and guide a team of quality auditors.
- Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Customer Focus
- Ensure customer specifications and feedback are incorporated into the audit and quality assurance process.
- Provide clear communication of issues and resolutions across stakeholder groups.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of audit findings and actions.
- Deliver reports and recommendations to leadership for quality enhancement.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead and implement process improvements based on audit learnings and best practices.
- Benchmark industry quality standards and tools.
Compliance
- Ensure alignment with relevant ISO, IATF, and regulatory standards.
- Uphold Scout Motors’ policies and quality system requirements.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
