Sr Modeling Engineer - RF Device Models

 

We are looking for a Senior Modeling Engineer to join our team developing our innovative leading-edge RF device models for Qorvo’s GaN & GaAs technologies. This will involve fitting Linear and Nonlinear device models for development of RF products. The candidate must have strong communication skills and be able to conduct technical reviews with design engineering teams. This position will be a key member on the Qorvo Modeling Team, supporting Design Engineering, Product Engineering, R&D, and Process Technology Development.
 

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop linear and non-linear Models and for Qorvo products in various Qorvo GaN &GaAs technologies.
  • Develop and maintain Model libraries for these technologies.
  • Develop design guides, tutorials, and examples for the design community.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering with combined 10-15+ years’ experience in an RF IC Modeling and/or Design Engineer role.
  • Strong understanding of RF/microwave modeling, design, and measurement.
  • Use of either ADS or Microwave Office (AWR).
  • Ability to develop non-linear device models.
  • Ability to work well with many different teams (ESD, Design, Reliability, Modelling, Business Unit, Product Quality, Program management, and more) across the organization, who are located globally.
  • Ability to work, in person, in an RF Test lab.
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder.

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Record of publishing in technical journals and/or magazines.
  • MS and/or PhD in Electrical Engineering

 

Work Location:  Richardson, Texas.

  • As noted, ​​​candidate ideally would work out of our Richardson Texas site, but we are open to other locations where we have a site located. CA would be the only exception.
