ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT AND JOB PURPOSE

How the Role fits in:
Accurately receives, stocks, issues, delivers, and ship parts as required by plants, Maintenance, and facility departments, per written procedures. Maintains and verifies accurate inventory levels. Maintains timely and accurate records of each transaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
SHE Stewardship
Maintain safety as the highest priority and abide by all INEOS safety policies and procedures.
Understand and promote the INEOS “20 Principles of Safety”, assuring that others are aware of safe working practices and promote the safety concepts of “Coaching for Safety” and “Stop Work”.
Promote safety and safe actions through communication such as discussing safety with employees/contractors before job task, during meetings, and as opportunities arise to promote safety to the fullest extent possible.
Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulatory requirements and strive to meet internal SHE objectives.
Complete training requirements as outlined in the annual training schedule.

Work Duties
Promote and maintain ISO 9000 within assigned areas of responsibility.
Assist in identifying and implementing cost reduction ideas to reduce plant expenditures.
Receive, store, and issue equipment, material, supplies, merchandise, or tools, and compiles stock records in stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.
Counts, sorts, weighs, and measures incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisitions or invoices.
Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
Stores articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size or type of material.
Fills orders or issues supplies from stock.
Mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles, using labeling equipment.
Distribute stock among production workers, keeping records of material issued.
Determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.
Move or transport material or supplies to other departments, using hand or industrial truck.
Maintain inventory and other stock records, using computer terminal.to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas by hand, hand truck, electric truck, forklift or pickup truck.
Assembles customer orders from stock and places order on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department
Opens bales, boxes, crates, and other containers using hand tools.
Drive vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to departments.
Prepare parcels for mailing.
Obtain MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) file as required per receiving procedures on all deliveries requiring such.
Train field customer in the use of current and new computer for ordering stock items.
Process materials deleted from stock.
Provide temporary storage for non-stocked materials for Planners and Engineers.
Build storage racks, bins, etc.
Build crates for shipping equipment and parts.
Maintain central files for stock and non-stock Purchase Orders, Shipping Tallies, Federal Express Domestic and International shipments, etc.
Rotate dated (stock) material as required, for freshness.
Clean storage bins/shelves/floor, check for duplications, condition of material, proper packaging, marking, etc.
Perform routine/non-routine housekeeping jobs to keep work area clean and safe.
Maintain monthly rotation of stores items and update log.
Maintain (MSO Log) MICS, Shipping Order on all shipments that leave the plant when or if they are returned.
Maintain a daily inter-departmental mail route between maintenance and tech building.
Fill in for Storeroom Supervisor in his or her absence.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Education/Experience
Minimum two (2) years plus experience in industrial material procurement /distribution; and
