Location: In-person / CIST Administrative Office / Austin, Texas 

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt 

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer 

Supervises: Various Leadership Positions 

Starting Salary: $125,000-$150,000 yearly (Salary based on relevant experience)

The Executive Advisor and Strategic Initiatives Director must see the big picture while managing the details. The person anticipates needs, pivots changing priorities, and is ready to roll up their sleeves to get things done. They will support the CEO in driving bold ideas, major initiatives, strategic priorities, and day to day operations. They will help shape agendas, steward Board of Director relationships, coordinate complex projects, and strengthen internal and external connections. 

The ideal candidate brings strong project management, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build meaningful relationships across the organization and community. What You’ll Do 

Executive Leadership Support 

  • Work side by side with the CEO to prioritize work and keep projects moving. 

  • Design agendas, talking points, internal messages, and presentations. 

  • Prepare the CEO for high stakes meetings and strategic conversations. 

  • Manage time sensitive tasks and shifting priorities with confidence. 

     

Board and Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Serve as a primary contact for the Board of Directors 

  • Prepare all Board materials and coordinate committee work. 

  • Support CEO led engagement with district leaders and community partners. 

     

Strategic Projects and Operations 

  • Lead cross organizational projects tied to strategic priorities.
