Our company is growing rapidly, and we are currently in search of providers to help our growing families! We are looking for an experienced provider who is passionate about caring for patients and treating their medical needs. You will perform exams and procedures, counsel patients, and treat patients throughout their lifetime. 


Education:

  • Registered nurse and successful completion of a certified post-graduate program for nurse-midwives. 
  • Certified for practice by national examination and state license. 

Salary: 

$105,816 – $158,724

Hours of operation: 

Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m. 

Possible Saturday hours

Location:

Columbus, GA; Fortson, GA; Talbotton, GA

Duties and Responsibilities: The authority and duties of the Certified Nurse Midwife shall include but not be limited to:

  • Takes part in initial examination of patient, monitors course of pregnancy, advising on proper health practices, taking tests as appropriate, and reporting any complications to the obstetrician.
  • Prepares patients and their partners for delivery; trains mothers-to-be in exercise, breathing, and relaxation techniques. Provides instructions in breast-feeding if requested.
  • Attends and reassures patient throughout the course of labor, monitors the fetus condition, administers medications, notifies physician of prolonged labor or complications indicating need for possible surgical intervention.
  • Delivers infant and checks mother and child to ensure that they are responding normally.
  • During postpartum period, visits mother and child to give additional instruction in feeding and care of the newborn.
  • Conducts classes for patients and family members concerning pregnancy, delivery, and proper childcare.
  • Conducts classes for nursing students so they may assist new mothers.
  • Provides advice on family planning and performs gynecological services.
  • Ability to remain calm during labor and delivery to reassure patient.
  • Ability to exercise good professional judgment.
  • Good verbal and written skills for communication with patients and physicians.
  • Sufficient vision and hearing ability (with or without assistance) to effectively monitor patients.
  • Sufficient physical strength to assist during labor and deliveries.
  • Perform any other duties asked by supervisor when needed.



Requirements

Minimum Qualification: Registered nurse and successful completion of a certified post-graduate program for nurse-midwives. Certified for practice by national examination and state license.

Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures and all Federal, State and Local medical service requirements. To include HIPAA Privacy & Security.

Security (HIPAA): Every employee is required to protect their computer log-on and password. You must secure your work area prior to leaving it unattended for an extended period of time. You are required to log-off of your computer and secure your work area prior to leaving at the end of the day. If you have a responsibility for closing or locking files, securing equipment, or locking the building and you do not comply with these requirements, you will be subject to reprimand and/or termination based upon the infraction. We are required by law to protect patient privacy, identifiable patient information, and all properties containing such information.

Physical Requirements: Varied activities include standing, walking, reaching, bending and lifting. Employee must possess full range of body motion including the ability to assist or lift patients when necessary; occasional weight bearing to exceed 50
