Job Description:
This job is responsible for driving and executing on internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF). Key responsibilities include providing analytical and administrative support for LOB or ECF specific processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards. Job expectations include monitoring and testing controls and implementing quality assurance and quality control processes within the LOB or ECF by evaluating data to help identify, track, and report issues and control improvements for remediation.

LOB Description:

This job is responsible for driving data quality reviews to ensure accurate, complete, and timely data sets. Key responsibilities include working with business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure data meets the needs and expectations of its users. Job expectations include managing execution within the enterprise data management standards, data quality, and control practices.
In addition, this role assists in routinely delivering ongoing monitoring of data, by product and segment using multiple data sources and tools, such as Excel, Alteryx, SAS, SQL, Tableau, etc. Another important aspect of this role includes working with the Lines of Business and Partners to evaluate data and identify themes and trends to ensure the data is of the highest quality for making informed decisions, performing accurate analyses and developing effective strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs business analytics, which includes data analysis, trend identification, and pattern recognition, using advanced techniques (e.g., machine learning, text mining, statistical analysis, etc.) to support decision-making and drive data-driven insights
  • Identifies gaps in data management standards adherence and works with appropriate partners to develop plans for resolution, including recommendations so that relevant risk and compliance policies and standards are met
  • Analyzes emerging needs for data to address risk, regulatory, or business enablement priorities and appropriately plans for interim and target state solutions within data management policies
  • Monitors key performance indicators and internal controls in accordance with established thresholds, standards, and policies
  • Mitigates risk by identifying potential issues and developing controls
  • Establish and manage data controls to ensure accuracy, integrity, consistency, access and understanding for the end users to support ongoing monitoring and analytical efforts
  • Define, gather, analyze, and interpret data to understand trends and communicate analysis results to leaders and partners
  • Work with team/partners to understand strategy, related processes, primary metrics, risk appetite and control limits so that data can be used to influence insights and business outcomes
  • Analyze and interpret large sets of raw data to recommend ways to help the business achieve desired outcomes and make informed business decisions
  • Proactively identify and escalate risk and opportunities, as appropriate
