Sr. Data Solutions Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing data infrastructure that supports the collection, storage, and analysis of large datasets. Your work involves building and maintaining data pipelines, optimizing database performance, and implementing scalable solutions for data integration. You will partner with experts to translate requirements into technical solutions.  You will design and implement advanced Azure Data Factory and support large language modules. As needed, you will supervise other Data Engineers.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Sr. Data Solutions Engineer: $107,000 - $171,000 plus annual bonus.

Position can be located in Tulsa, OK preferred with relocation provided, McLean, VA, or San Antonio, TX.

Pay commensurate with experience.

Sr. Data Solutions Engineer Responsibilities Include: 

• Architect and implement scalable and efficient machine learning systems.
• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines that extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into our data warehouse or data lake.
• Design, develop and maintain data models and schemas ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval while optimizing performance and scalability.
• Design, develop and implement data validation and cleansing processes to ensure high data quality and accuracy, and address data discrepancies and issues.
• Integrate data from different source systems, including database and Application Programming Interfaces.
• Design and deploy AI/ML pipelines.
• Utilize Azure Data Factory to extract, transfer, and load data.
• Design, implement, and optimize machine learning algorithms and models.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality data across the organization.
• Develop strategies for deploying machine learning models at scale. Ensure models are production ready with high reliability and performance.
• Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines, data models, and processes.
• Collaborate with business partners and other IT teams to understand data requirements and ensure data solutions meet business needs.
• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document the issue.
• Ensures database security standards and best practices are monitored and enforced; supports auditing needs.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Sr. Data Solutions Engineer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: 

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or other related field
• 8+ years of solution design and architecture experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and integrations.
• Advanced Knowledge of MS SQL Server, team foundation server (TFS), and/or PowerShell.
• Advanced Knowledge of data management tools (backups, archiving, monitoring), document management systems, practice management systems, and/or business process systems.
• Advanced Knowledge of data standards, global data design patterns, database deployment, and performance management, tuning, installation, and configuration.
• Advanced Knowledge of database systems/database security, SQL queries, stored procedures, SSRS.
• Advanced Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery environment.
• Must know SQL, ADF Azure Data Factory.
• Intermediate Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Basic understanding of Generative AI and knowledge of AI language models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experienced use of BI, SQL, and other design and analysis tools
• Demonstrated ability to partner directly with end-users / business experts to gather requirements and translate into solutions
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
