Supported by a vast network of garages, retail outlets and mobile vans, Halfords delivers an integrated product and services ecosystem dedicated to ensuring a lifetime of motoring and cycling across the UK.</p> <h1><span><strong>About The Role</strong></span></h1> <ul> <li>A senior operational leadership role responsible for leading and growing the CFS division across a defined depot network.</li> <li>Accountable for delivering safe, efficient, and commercially successful mobile service solutions to a large portfolio of commercial fleet customers and vehicles under contract.</li> <li>Leads a team of 5 Regional Managers and c.300 colleagues across 40+ depots, with full divisional P&amp;L accountability.</li> <li>Own significant revenue accountability within a £180m organisation, with payroll and non-payroll budget accountability.</li> <li>Reports to the Service Delivery Director, CFS, and joins the business at a genuinely exciting point- CFS is twice the size of its nearest competitor, with a clear plan to expand geographic coverage and service proposition.</li> </ul> <h1><span><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></h1> <ul> <li>Lead and deliver the CFS divisional strategy, driving profitable growth, operational efficiency and service excellence across depot and mobile operations.</li> <li>Develop, coach, and inspire Regional Managers, building strong leadership capability, succession pipelines, and a high-performance culture.</li> <li>Own full divisional P&amp;L accountability, delivering sustainable revenue growth, margin improvement, and cost control.</li> <li>Drive operational excellence across depot and mobile technician teams, ensuring consistent, high-quality, and reliable service delivery.</li> <li>Embed best-in-class health &amp; safety practices, particularly within field-based operations, ensuring full compliance and a proactive safety culture.</li> <li>Maintain tight control of costs across labour, fleet operations, stock, and overheads, ensuring robust stock governance and minimisation of loss and working capital exposure.</li> <li>Build and maintain strong relationships with key commercial fleet customers, partnering with commercial colleagues on onboarding, account growth and manufacturer-led service reviews.</li> <li>Simplify and standardise operational processes to improve efficiency, scalability and service quality as the business grows.</li> </ul> <h1><span><strong>About You</strong></span></h1> <ul> <li>Extensive leadership experience across large, geographically dispersed teams.</li> <li>A strong track record of P&amp;L ownership, budget management and financial planning.</li> <li>Genuine ability to lead, engage and motivate teams through a fast-changing environment.</li> <li>Sound knowledge of industry trends and market conditions, with the ability to adapt and flex accordingly.</li> <li>A hands-on, commercially minded operator who is equally comfortable in a depot as in a senior leadership meeting.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Reward and Benefits</strong></p> <ul> <li>A competitive salary, benchmarked against market data, alongside car allowance and annual bonus.</li> <li>Pension, life assurance and 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays.</li> <li>Ongoing personal and professional development, with support to grow your career within Halfords.</li> <li>Hybrid working, with a mix of field, office and home-based work.</li> <li>Access to a wide range of colleague discounts across Halfords products and services.</li> <li>A strong focus on wellbeing and inclusion, with support and resources to help you thrive at work.</li> </ul> <h1><span><strong>Inclusion and Diversity</strong></span></h1> <p>At Halfords, we are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.
