Job Description
Supervise, set priorities, and provide direction to team leaders and associates.
Drives CIP (continuous improvement process) for safety, quality and productivity within the Physical Logistics team.
Define and implement processes along the value stream (from supplier to production) using lean principles and tools.
Ensure compliance to OSHA regulations, Bosch Rexroth safety and EHS policies, wood export regulations, and customer-specific consolidation, packaging and shipping requirements.
Ensure the handling of hazardous materials is in compliance with government regulations.
Monitor operational expenses and provide input for annual budget.
Conduct team meetings, develop agenda, and seek input from employees.
Execute, support, and monitor various pick/pack/ship plans, SAP-related activities including delivery processing, and delivery performance. Identify capacity constraints, and propose and implement continuous process improvements, particularly to significantly reduce shipping errors and customer complaints.
Responsible for all personnel-related actions within the group, including, but not limited to:
- Training, conducting corrective counseling/disciplinary action; preparing and conducting performance appraisals, recommending promotions, transfers, salary changes, hires, and terminations, evaluating and approving requests for time off/overtime; resolving disputes, etc.
- Assist with or present monthly associate communications meetings.
- Central contact for safety, security, and maintenance issues.
- Provide feedback to members of the organization concerning problems and improvements, including machine utilization, which could be made to optimize the process.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree* plus two years relevant work experience, two year degree* plus four years of relevant work experience, or high school graduate or equivalent* plus six years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to supervise, set priorities, and provide direction to team leaders and team members.
- Good command of Microsoft Office, Excel skills required.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of various manufacturing principles and ideologies; Familiar with lean logistics or lean manufacturing (e.g. Toyota or Bosch production system), process orientation.
- Experience in MRP environment.
- Demonstrated customer orientation.
- Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and to drive process improvements independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
