Position Summary
The Community Engagement Program Manager provides proactive services to project teams, business customers, process management teams, and management. The focus is on data management and analysis while facilitating effective planning and project management. Establishes collaborative and strong relationships with operational leaders and decision makers throughout the organization.
Develops and manages business unit operation analytics creating awareness on achievements and/or opportunities for improvement through data analyzation and visualization. Provides output on work requirements, deficiencies in programs for improvement and showcasing of community immersion in CPS Energy’s territory.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Coordinates and tracks process improvement initiatives for Community Engagement, including deliverables, owners and due dates
- Supports business unit leadership, related to communicating the company’s direction, initiatives, & programs to include but not limited to: CPS Energy Leadership Team, City Council members, customers, and various media in San Antonio.
- Serves as a liaison for internal and external based projects.
- Acts as liaison between Community Engagement and other stakeholders (i.e. Customer Strategy, Corporate Communications, EDS, Gas Delivery, EIT) to gather data needed for delivery of process improvements
- Verifies and validates data accuracy. Identifies errors and develops mitigation plans/actions.
- Analyzes gathered data to support recommendations/decisions by Community Engagement team
- Ensures that projects meet expectations regarding schedule, budget, scope and quality through metrics and benchmarking.
- Develops and submits business cases for projects. Leads multiple, cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Supports development of new customer programs through cost models, implementation strategies and customer segmentation analysis.
- Develops solutions to critical business issues and presents alternatives.
- Ensures the integration of sound project management principles and practices into all projects.
- Oversees projects and coordinates activities of project teams.
- Performs functions such as project management, program management, strategic planning and/or resource planning and budgeting.
- Facilitates teams, including team chartering, group problem solving and/or process improvement work.
- Develops documentation of business processes within applicable divisions.
- Manage department records as the Records Retention Liaison.
- Creates progress/metric reports for Community Engagement business plan every month, and ensures these are escalated to executives.
- Supports the business planning & business continuity process and monitors the progress of the plans.
- Works with internal stakeholders to standardize and automate reports, and their distribution.
- Completes special and/or ad hoc projects assigned by executives.
- Juggle resources and deadlines and then adjust and communicate project schedules accordingly.
- Oversees reporting, lessons learned and process improvement tracking for Community Engagement events.
- Ability to work from assigned work location and other locations as needed; this position does not support hybrid or remote work from home.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Proficient experience in a related field.Demonstrated ability to facilitate team building with employees across various disciplines and at all levels, including ability to engage people in productive activities without formal authority.Extensive experience in customer service or community impact project management.Strong interpersonal skills essential and ability to handle competing priorities.Manage all phases of a project following established methodology with a considerable amount of autonomy.Ability to execute on corporate and business unit strategies.Advanced understanding of reporting requirements and tools.Demonstrated ability and desire to help individuals and team achieve increased competencies and effectiveness levels.Valid driver’s license.Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, dataApply for this role
