POSITION SUMMARY

Banquet servers needed at the mountain. Alcohol Server Training certificate and prior banquet/serving experience and knowledge of banquets preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Prepare Banquet rooms per the Banquet event order, stock and set up for service; perform shift opening tasks that may include setting tables, opening doors, set up service station

• Responsible for serving tables and maintaining buffets by restocking as needed

• Must be a team player by assisting in daily operations of serving, cleaning, bussing

• Ensure that we adhere to State Liquor Regulations, TIPS certified, etc. and determine when customers should not be served alcohol

• Alert manager to any inventory shortages of liquor, food and supplies based on anticipated or actual guest volume

• Bus tables and reset throughout shift, as necessary

• Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements

• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years of previous work history/education required

• Must be minimum 18 years of age

• Communicate in English

• Prior banquet/serving experience and knowledge of banquets preferred

• Serve with customers courteously and efficiently

• Must have good communication skills and public relations

• Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s Service Excellence standards

• Must have Colorado approved Alcohol Server Training certificate or must attend a Colorado approved alcohol server training educational seminar within 30 days of employment

• Must have current Food Handler and Allergy training certificate, or must attend Food Handler and Aller-train certification courses for Alterra Mountain company within 14 days of employment
