• Work on a variety of nonprofit engagements.

• Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, compliance errors, fraud, or noncompliance with laws and regulations.

• Prepare detailed audit reports in accordance with relevant standards.

• Communicate effectively with fellow staff and engagement supervisors/managers to ensure accurate recording of transactions and compliance with laws and regulations.

• Examine and evaluate compliance systems.

• Assist in the audit field work of business transaction processes including cash, fixed assets, inventories, contributions, revenue, payroll, and other expenses.

• Develop an understanding of the client’s business and the specific accounting guidance that is applicable to your client and their respective industry.

• Accept and respond to engagement feedback.

• Working beyond standard job hours is expected during busy season.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS/MS in Accounting from an accredited college or university (minimum of 150 college credits earned before start date).

• Must be eligible to sit for CPA exam.

• 2-4 years of relevant public accounting experience preferred

• Knowledge of accounting principles and auditing/tax standards to effectively supervise staff and solve engagement problems.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to listen effectively

• Effective time management, organizational, and analytical abilities.

• Flexibility and openness to work on a variety of assignments; able to multi-task.

• Work well under with a team; able to meet deadlines with accuracy

• Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment while applying specialized proficiencies of a trained accountant

Compensation Range

Salary: $66,000.00 - $85,000.00
