· Salary: $50,000 - $53,000

Job Functions:

Lead the CREATE Early Childhood program, including day-to-day operations, staff supervision, and coordination with Head Start. This position also focuses on the parents, teachers, and staff, providing them with training and tools to support the learning and development of all children.


Essential Responsibilities:

Administration

  1. Program Oversight of the early childhood program. Where there are improvements needed, develop and implement programs/processes to address the needs.
  2. Assess program quality, parent involvement, staff development, education component, and performance guidelines.
  3. Coordinate in-service training, facilitate team meetings, and ensure the team attends other meetings as assigned.
  4. Conduct or delegate with follow-up inspections of classrooms, work areas, grounds, playground, and transportation to ensure safety, orderliness, sanitation, and cleanliness of facilities, staff, and child file audits.
  5. Coordinate, track, and report with follow–up tracking of data needed for grant compliance, Early Learning Coalition requirements, and parent volunteer hours.
  6. Guide the team in training, program implementation, documentation, and outcomes reporting.
  7. Responsible for the School Readiness voucher process
  8. Ensure all new enrollees have school readiness
  9. Assess for scholarship need or payment
  10. Collect and receipt all payments weekly
  11. Track payments and distribute reminders and late notices as required
  12. Collect monthly attendance from CREATE and Head Start and submit for school readiness and MM monthly reports

Quality Program

  1. Lead quality improvement initiatives such as Quality Counts and Accreditation Process.
  2. Ensure that all staff have acquired their yearly continuing education credits (CEUs) to remain in good professional standing.
  3. Ensure child and staff records are current and compliant with licensing and accreditation.
  4. Provide direct supervision, coaching, and mentoring for the CREATE–ELC teachers.
  5. Provide and/or coordinate teacher training to increase effectiveness and ensure the highest quality program.
  6. Act as the liaison between CREATE – Early Learning and Head Start to ensure a collaborative and quality partnership.
  7. Meet personal goals and actively contribute to the achievement of team and organizational targets/goals as stated on the KPI and in the annual plan. Attend required staff meetings and on-going trainings. Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

A minimum of an AA degree in an education, health or social services related field or 10 years' experience in childcare field. Director’s credentials required. Direct experience working with children and parents required.


Skills Requirements:

Must work effectively with children and parents, representing and communicating their status and progress to small groups and professionals within a network comprised of the school district, Metropolitan Ministries service providers, and applicable and related medical social service providers in the surrounding community.
