The Opportunity
This position works out of our Santa Clara, CA location in the Structural Heart division.
Structural Heart Business Mission: why we exist:
Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease.
As the Director, Product Lifecycle Management, you’ll be responsible for:
1) Managing the on-going monthly review cycle; which requires specific actions from Day 1 to Day 30.
2) Facilitating the monthly Portfolio Review.
3) Leading all Product Lifecyle management activities. You will have responsibility to ensure the R&D; Marketing and Commercial business process streams are aligned and reconciled with the Division Financial Plan
What You’ll Work On
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
- Coordinate monthly Portfolio Review Meeting and Product Lifecycle meetings with Senior Management
- Prepare monthly Portfolio Review Board package
- Represent Product Management at the Integrated Reconciliation team meetings
- Responsible to elevate and communicate changes to Demand and Supply
- Drive improved accuracy in reporting of product milestones (launch & discontinuation dates); R&D costs; sales forecasts and financial valuation
- Coordinate and collate data received from functional areas; critiquing and challenging assumptions; risks and opportunities
- Prepare and collate Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports as required per the IBP process
- Elevate and work to resolve key issues arising from the Product Management IBP process
- Facilitates strategic decisions on issue resolution and gap closure
- Single Point of contact for Supply; Demand and IR teams regarding Product issues
- Interface with the Supply; Demand and IR process teams to ensure alignment and consistency
- Identify and drive implementation of improvements to the end-to-end Product Lifecycle management process, from product development through commercialization and ultimately retirement.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in business administration or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of seven to ten years of experience in Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, Commercial or related area, preferably in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of SH and its products
- Advanced skills in managing projects and process with cross-functional representation
- Ability to gain respect and credibility by all levels of the organization
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- Comfortable with presenting and making recommendations to senior management
- Must be able to challenge peers and individuals in higher positions
