We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance Team at MORSE. If you are interesting in an impactful role on a small, agile, and growing team, come join us!

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Process all accounting transactions, including payroll and labor distribution, billing and accounts receivable, purchases and accounts payable, fixed assets and depreciation.

  • Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, and provide analysis and insights to support business decisions.

  • Prepare and monitor monthly cash flow budgets to ensure effective cash management.

  • Maintain fixed asset ledger with book and tax depreciation accounting, and provide project cost and performance metrics to project managers.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with 2-4 years of experience in a similar role, including experience with contract accounting ERP systems such as Costpoint or Jamis Prime.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements, including contract revenue accounting and support for auditors.

  • Proficiency in project cost accounting and advanced Excel skills.

  • High energy and drive, with a passion for details and thorough analysis.

  • Strong team orientation and collaboration skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
