Senior Full Stack Developer

<p> </p> <p><strong>What Impact You'll Have</strong></p> <p>Northstrat, a GRVTY company is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both back-end and front-end development, bringing a wealth of knowledge in multiple programming languages and frameworks. This role demands a self-starter who can take vaguely defined tasks and independently deliver high-quality solutions.</p> <p>This program helps to produce Mission Management web applications for the Intelligence Community, leveraging cloud-based microservices architecture. Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Utilize Java, including JEE and REST web services, for back-end development.</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.</li> <li>Produce detailed specifications and write software code</li> <li>Work closely with system engineers, and SMEs to understand functional requirements</li> <li>Create unit tests and integration tests while supporting formal testing</li> <li>Provide input into training manuals for users</li> <li>Maintain knowledge of feature and technical changes in the application</li> <li>Apply Agile software development methodologies in your work.</li> <li>Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging.</li> <li>Contribute to architectural decisions and the evolution of our tech stack.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Must Have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Education: bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.</li> <li>Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience.</li> <li>Strong Java skills, including JEE and REST web services.</li> <li>Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or Postgres.</li> <li>Familiarity with Linux environments.</li> <li>Experience with Java microservice application and interface design and development.</li> <li>Understanding of Agile Scrum practices and traditional waterfall projects.</li> <li><strong>Must have an active or current Top-Secret clearance with SCI access with a FS/Poly no exceptions</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>What Would be Nice to Have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience developing microservices using Spring Boot and the Spring Framework</li> <li>Experience working with scalable and distributed message bus such as Apache Kafka</li> <li>Experience applying DevOps best practices and leveraging tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Docker</li> <li>Experience developing secure RESTful web services integrating Identity Management tools such as Keycloak and LDAP</li> <li>Ability to work with container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm</li> <li>Knowledge of in-memory storage solutions (Redis) as well as AWS S3-compliant object stores</li> <li>Experience applying DevOps best practices in day-to-day software development</li> </ul> <p> </p><div><div><div><p></p> <p><strong>Pay Range: </strong>At GRVTY, we understand that compensation is influenced by many factors—such as geographic location, federal contract labor categories, wage rates, prior experience, skillsets, education, and certifications.<br/>We’re proud to offer a work environment that empowers our team to achieve a strong work-life balance.
