Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $31.50 to $35.60+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Job Summary:
Senior Patrollers may have extensive experience in a variety of disciplines including but not limited to snow safety and terrain management, medical, risk management and General patrol duties.
The roll of the winter/summer patroller is to ensure a reasonably safe skiing/biking environment. To provide medical assistance and evacuation, guest safety, search and rescue support, trail work, lift evacuation, daily duty station responsibilities, equipment maintenance, and other assigned duties. Each task requires a high level of decision making. Computers (proficiency in Microsoft Office programs), technical rope experience.
Winter
Must be an expert skier or rider
Hold current (or be enrolled in) Colorado or National EMT (or higher) and current CPR certification
Patrol or mountaineering experience preferred
Must be 21 years old
Must have valid US driver’s license.
Summer – In addition to winter requirements
Scheduling flexibility; work weekends, holidays, events and Camp Woodward and other activities
Intermediate mountain biker
Have a mountain bike to use at work
Lift Evacuation cable rider / gondola proficiency
Collaborate with mountain bike trail crew to assist with trail maintenance
Work on patrol related summer projects as they surface
Responsibilities may include:
Terrain management: Planning and implementation of daily avalanche control routes, explosives applications including leading, directing and supporting other patrollers in correct and successful mitigation techniques. Coordinating early season boot packing missions includes medical evacuation concerns as well as manpower resource needs, and daily terrain management and pre-planning for future work missions.
Medical: Extensive medical experience and skill including higher levels of training such as EMT-P; advanced positive interpersonal aptitudes with the ability to teach advanced skills, documentation, as well as participate in continuing quality improvement programs; also capable of delivering the results of such programs in a professional, positive manner.
Risk Management: Wide-ranging experience in ski industry risk management to include the investigator role as well as experience developing and improving documentation. Skilled at keeping pace with current technical opportunities and not only comfortable using all types of IT devices, but excels at leveraging a variety of software programs to improve our current process. Endeavors to reach and deliver a high level of understanding about all risk management processes and able to educate less experienced staff to our processes involving risk management and electronic documentation and empower them for success.
General Patrol duties: Advanced ability to teach less experienced staff any aspect of patrol duties and processes. A positive, professional, attitude with both guests and other staff. Able to contribute to the success of both patrol goals and company goals by understanding the patrols involvement in the overall success of the company. May play a large role in training less experienced staff and may be asked to fill in for foreman in any task. Demonstrates the highest level of teamwork, operations knowledge, and sets the example for the rest of the patrol. Has experience leading various internal departments and can mentor Lead Patrollers to take on increase roles in those departments.
