Team:
We are a forward-thinking team developing and revolutionizing indirect procurement processes, tools and policies to quickly expand our launch and test site. We are looking for individuals that are entrepreneurial in spirit and can think outside the box to achieve company objectives regarding value and partnerships with our suppliers. We collaborate across all our internal stakeholders and across our indirect purchasing team to achieve the company objectives, and we do so with a sense of urgency.
What you’ll do:
- Vendor Research – Identify potential vendors using tools and platforms.
- Initial Outreach – Establish initial contact with potential vendor and onboard as necessary
- PO placement – Quickly place high volume of purchase orders with little oversight.
- Finding alternate vendors – Identify alternate vendors when current vendors are unable to meet required delivery dates
- Invoice Resolution – Ensure that vendors are paid in a timely manner
- Tracking Parts – Ensure on-time delivery of parts that are critical path by tracking delivery of necessary parts
- Expediting – Offering alternate methods to quickly bring in parts that are delayed
- Collaboration – Working with team to address purchasing concerns, providing necessary support as needed.
What you need to know:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years placing Purchase Orders and Resolving blocked invoices
Nice to haves but not required:
- Purchasing experience in aerospace manufacturing
- Effective written, verbal, and communication skills
- Remarkable problem solving skills
- Strong technical knowledge and skills in current technologies and applications, especially ERP systems
- Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to escalate situations when higher level support is required
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment
- Conducts all activities with the highest of integrity
