Position Summary
The Director, Practice Formulation Services is responsible for leading our national practice formulation services team. This position will report to the SVP, Operations and will lead a dynamic growing team of 2-4 individuals.
This role is responsible for building independent physician practices around physicians who have previously been employed in settings such as hospital systems, insurance companies, or multi-specialty group. The Practice Formulation Services department will support doctors in building a practice from scratch, including assisting with site selection and the physical buildout of the site, business entity creation, provider enrollment and credentialing, setting up the office, IT setup, EMR set up, revenue cycle management, assisting with staffing, hiring and onboarding, and sharing best demonstrated practices around practice operations. Over time this person will create a playbook-style operating manual that is highly repeatable and will be completed with urgency, as well as build out a team to support this effort. Your success will be measured based on opening hundreds of new practices each year on a timely basis and in a seamless fashion that removes this burden from the physicians.

- Prepare and manage practice formation checklists, documentation, and reporting tools to track
- Manage external vendors and partners such as real estate brokers, general contractors, and
- Collaborate with internal stakeholder to develop positive relationships and drive business initiatives
- Deliver doctor satisfaction while opening practices on time and within budget
Demonstrated Ability
- A leader who has demonstrated ability to lead and grow teams
- Ability to create a standardized process to stand up practices across a national geography, including implementing the MDVIP model successfully.
- Excellent communicator, confident and responsive: engages with doctors consistently and provides timely and valuable support.
- A combination of excellent project management skills with deep customer service orientation and operational knowledge.
- Results driven and execution oriented; demonstrated commitment to and track record of exceeding goals/targets.
- Ability to understand, empathize and connect with doctors, as well as build trust, influence and be a consultative advisor to doctors about business optimization.

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- 7 years of professional experience
- 4 years in senior manager or director-level roles, managing teams, projects, or client
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or other leadership/business
- Strong knowledge of business formation processes, licensing, and regulatory environments
- Healthcare experience, including new physician practice/office formation and/or clinical operations, and working with physicians (ideally in an outpatient setting) ensuring compliance with regulatory
