The Luxury Travel Advisor will be responsible for providing the successful completion of luxury travel arrangements for Direct Travel Luxury clients.
This is an in-person position, in our Houston TX, office.
Expedition Expectations
- Provide full-service travel assistance as it relates the client’s travel including booking airfare, hotels, cruises, tours, sightseeing, travel insurance, and transportation
- Create, edit, and deliver detailed trip proposals and itineraries to clients
- Correspond by phone and/or email with hotels and other suppliers (tour guides, destination management companies, etc.) to check rates and availability
- Research destinations and suppliers to meet client expectations, interests, and budget
- Make and confirm reservations and services and ensure that all details are accurate and comprehensive. Keep up with payments due and submit on client’s behalf. Organize all materials in a detailed, accurate and comprehensive manner and share with clients in a timely manner.
- Finalize and provide pre-departure documentation to clients including their final itineraries, air tickets, travel insurance, and payments.
- Enter and maintain data and book client’s travel in our customer relationship management software Client Base and in our GDS (Sabre).
- Participate in office-meetings with suppliers, attend learning webinars, and attend travel conferences
Passport to Success
- Sabre experience preferred
- 5+ years Leisure Industry experience
- 3+ years Luxury Travel Experience
- International Travel Experience
- Self-Driven/Motivated
- Independent Worker
- Customer and Sales Focused
- Social Media Savvy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
- Demonstrated professional customer service skills
- Capability of maintaining a favorable company image when interfacing with outside sources
- Proven pursuit of learning and self-development
- Ability to demonstrate personal and organizational integrity
- Capability of working in a team environment supporting management and staff, following policies, providing feedback, assisting in special projects, and taking on additional responsibility
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Familiar with Virtuoso
- Client Base knowledge
- Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US
