At Leprino Foods, compensation for this role is Junior Maintenance Tech (JMT) ($29.00).

 

Summary Description: Under the direction of the maintenance supervisor, the maintenance trainee will receive on-the-job and external training and will learn to perform a diversified list of duties including installation, repairs, preventive/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and process improvements on all equipment and systems. The Trainee must rely on their knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles to troubleshoot and assist in troubleshooting malfunctions to equipment and systems and to repair and restore operation.

 

Job Description

• Responsible for fabrication or modification of equipment to Leprino specs and standards.
• Responsible for the installation of new or used equipment.
• Responsible for repairs of all plant equipment.
• Responsible for plant preventative maintenance.
• Responsible to promptly respond to any equipment break downs or downtime when applicable.
• Responsible to assist in shift coverage when applicable.
• Responsible for welding repairs to plant equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment.
• Responsible to fulfill Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) requirements.
• Perform any other duties as required by Maintenance Manager, Supervisor or Group Leader.
• Move to different departments to meet staffing requirements.
• Ability to complete the Advanced Level Maintenance Training (ITEC Industrial Maintenance) at COS with a 3.0 GPA or better within the first year of this position.

 

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

• Must complete the Entry Level Maintenance Training (ITEC Industrial Maintenance) at COS with a 3.0 GPA or better.
• Will be required to provide school transcript with a 3.0 GPA or better grade.
• Knowledge of GMPs.
• Strong work ethics.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions of the position.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and car insurance.
• Must be able to exercise judgment and participate in problem solving.

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities/Competencies:

• Knowledge of arc, tig, mig, and sanitary welding.
• Knowledge of design, layout and fabricate.
• Ability to read blue prints and Processing & Instrumentation Drawing (P&ID).
• Ability to work well with outside contractors.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Knowledge and ability to perform work in a safe and organized manner.
• Knowledge of proper safe use of hand tools.
• Must have the ability to complete all assigned paperwork, per assignment.
• Ability to work alone or with a Maintenance Technician.
• Ability to use different types of meters for calibration, troubleshooting, PM’s, and installations
