Job Description

The essential duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Align/realign resources to projects based on current priorities.
• Works with Software Engineers to develop Level of Effort metrics associated with new Projects/Epics added to backlog.
• Coordinates with Architecture resources to ensure that Software Development Lifecycle(SDLC) and Architecture principles balance the optimization Delivery of business innovation, resilience and cost.
• Ensures that Software Engineers are following Architecture Principles and SDLC.
• Participate in strategic planning for the Product Delivery Department.
• Monitor individual Software Engineer performance, develop and execute plans to help them grow.
• Coordinates training requirements of Software Engineer personnel.
• Help Software Engineers resolve both technical problems as well as human resources issues.
• Accurately communicates pertinent information. Assists in the development and implementation of quality improvement efforts.
• Ensure proper project time tracking occurs to properly capitalize project expenses.
• Solves problems and makes decisions on a daily basis relative to Software development responsibilities. 
• Supports Project Managers to ensure that effective Software Development representation takes place for the coordination of work processes and projects with other departments and divisions  
• Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
• Work effectively as a team member with other members of management.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience
• 2+ years of leadership experience
• Agile Software Development experience
• Skilled in Project Management
• Excellent Software Architecture skills
• Self-driven for results and continuous improvement
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strategic thinking skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop and empower people
