Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Senior Project Manager to join our team. The Senior Project Manager has the overall responsibility for those projects that have been assigned after a formal handover from the responsible sales manager. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to customer relations, quality control, project coordination, scheduling, and meeting all contractual obligations.

 

Your role in our team

  • You will as team-lead for all participants in the project and have the full responsibility for the entire order, including internal and external deliveries. The responsibility includes guidance to the customer including their representatives and ensuring that potential adjustments in the project are documented
  • You will be the “Contract owner”; handling contractual challenges and ensuring justifiable risk management
  • You will draw up offers and contract documents in connection with variation orders and additional sales. Project management is responsible for both the commercial and technical elements of the projects
  • You will ensure that the projects follow the company’s Project Excellence processes with associated documentation
  • You will lead diverse international and intercompany project teams, which normally includes electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, PLC software engineers and software engineers from WCS/WMS teams and several sub-contractors
  • You will design and follow a detailed project plan
  • You will be responsible for precise prognosis, resource allocations, planning and budgeting of the projects
  • You will support the sales department in drawing up system solutions and participate in customer meetings during the sales phase
  • You will perform regular monitoring of project phases; assessment of risks, where necessary initiation of measures for problem solving; tracking of time, quality & budget
  • You will have overall management of installations and operation of own projects incl. being present at sites for the customer, project team and subcontractors
  • You will ensure regular reporting in the form of status reports and, if necessary, creating a basis for decision-making
  • You will ensure that the project obtains PAC (provisional acceptance criteria) and FAC (factory acceptance criteria) at the agreed time
  • You will collect and validate project documentation to ensure that it fulfils current standards before it is sent to the customer
  • You will initiate and approve invoicing according to project progress and payment plan

 

Your profile

  • You have successfully graduated from engineering or other relevant technical studies or other comparable job experience
  • You have at least 8 years of relevant professional experience as a project manager, preferably in a logistics environment
  • You have a proven project management certification (e.g. PMP, CAPM, GPM-IPMA, PRINCE2) desirable
  • You are able to travel up to 80%
  • Methods in structured problem solving (e.g. Fishbone, 5 Why) of advantage
  • You have experience in working in matrix structures
  • You are business fluent written and spoken English
