About the role

<p><span><i><b><u>Secondment role for 12 months.</u></b></i></span><br/><br/>As a Senior Finance Project Manager, you will play a pivotal strategic role within the Global Functions Finance team, reporting directly to the Senior Finance Director – Global Functions. You will be responsible for coordinating, managing and consolidating a diverse portfolio of operational and strategic initiatives, while establishing robust governance frameworks that ensure effective execution and alignment with the functions.</p><p></p><p>In this capacity, you will provide strong leadership and project oversight, partnering closely with Finance Directors and the Global Finance Functions Leadership Team to drive enhance performance, and support key decision-making across the organization.</p><p></p><p><span><b>Key responsibilities:</b></span></p><ul><li><p>Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects across Global Functions, ensuring alignment with the financial targets, and operational priorities.</p></li><li><p>Design and implement a governance framework that drive accountability, transparency, and effective decision-making across all project phases.</p></li><li><p>Serve as a strategic liaison between Finance, Global Functions, and leadership, facilitating cross-functional collaboration and ensuring consistent communication of project goals and progress.</p></li><li><p>Monitor and report on project performance using financial KPIs and milestone tracking, enabling data-driven insights and timely course corrections.</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory standards, embedding risk management practices into all project activities.</p></li><li><p>Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and leverage digital tools.</p></li><li><p>Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations and executive briefings, translating complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Support any internal and external financial audit processes by working in close collaboration with Auditors and provide co-ordination and guidance to Global Functions Finance teams</p></li></ul><p></p><p><span><b>Basic Qualifications &amp; Skills:</b></span></p><ul><li><p>University degree e.g. Financials, Business, Economy or related discipline</p></li><li><p>Relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MBA or equivalent)</p></li><li><p>Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in finance, project management, or business transformation roles, ideally within a global or matrixed organization.</p></li><li><p>Financial Acumen: strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes.</p></li><li><p>Analytical &amp; Problem-Solving Skills, advanced analytical capabilities, including experience with financial modelling, scenario planning, and data interpretation.</p></li><li><p>Communication &amp; Influence, excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.</p></li><li><p>Experience in a global organisation across a matrix environment with cross-functional stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Advanced Microsoft applications (Project, Excel, PowerPoint), familiarity with ERP system SAP and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across cultures, time zones, and functional boundaries.</p></li></ul><p>#LI-GSK</p><p>G6</p><p></p><p><b>Why GSK?<br/>Uniting science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together.</b></p><p></p><p>GSK is a global biopharma company with a purpose to unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together.
