Team:

We are looking for an Electrician to join our growing team at our testing site located at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi.  You will be responsible for supporting the construction and maintenance of new and existing test site infrastructure.  You bring curiosity for our unique technology and our production processes and are eager to develop next generation test sites.  Check out this video to learn more about our Stennis team.     

This position is part of our Launch, Infrastructure, and Facilities organization, which oversee new construction projects and facility operations and maintenance.  Our facilities are a key part to Relativity’s success in creating the first autonomous rocket factory and delivering industry-leading launch services to our customers. 

What you’ll do:

As a High-Power Electrician, you will have a major role in the development, build, and operation of high-power electrical systems and supporting infrastructure at Relativity’s test site(s) and supporting facilities.  Systems include AC & DC distribution systems, command and control systems, and emergency backup equipment.

You will be responsible for supporting our test site and supporting facilities on a day-to-day basis. Work includes but is not limited to:

• installation of new equipment
• Conducting regular maintenance and troubleshooting
• Partnering with the engineering teams to understand and support equipment operation

What you need to know:

Minimum 5+ years of experience in the construction industry working with electrical systems (AC & DC systems)

• Valid State Driver’s license
• Excellent working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70)
• Excellent working knowledge of NEC 70E
• Experience with 480/277V and 120/208V distribution systems
• Experience with operating medium voltage (12kV) equipment (switches and cut-outs)
• Experience troubleshooting electrical equipment
• Experience with electrical distribution, single-line diagrams, design documentation, interrupting construction drawings
• Experience with maintenance of power systems
• Experience with grounding and bonding electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interrupt technical plans, blueprints, manufacturer’s instructions
• Ability to use a variety of electrician’s hand tools including hydraulic conduit benders, conduit threaders, digital multi-meters, hydraulic punches & crimpers
• Ability to install switchboards, panelboards, UPS, transfer switches, rigid conduit
• Demonstrated customer service excellence and ability to communicate highly effectively in verbal/written form with internal and external customers
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
• High organizational skills in managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Recognize and act on opportunities; maintain flexibility to adjust as requirements shift or constraints change

Nice to have but not required:

• 8+ years of experience in the Aerospace industry working with electrical and control systems
• Field experience managing other trade partners
• Experience with NFPA 780, NFPA 497, NEC 70B
• Experience with Test or Launch GSE Operations
• Experience with Voice, Data, and telecom equipment and installation requirements
• Experience with Fire Alarm and life safety equipment
