Senior Frontend SW Engineer

We’re building a platform to empower our customers using Spatial Intelligence. The backend platform is responsible for ingesting sensor and processed data from a distributed fleet of IoT systems installed on customer sites. The multi-dimensional data (video, metadata, audio, telemetry, and more) will be stored, processed, and made available using different APIs on the backend. Analytics will be computed in the backend and exposed via APIs and a web application. The platform needs to scale to support adding more clients and lines of business, and supporting large amounts of processed data.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for an experienced Web Front End developer that would help us build an engaging, secure and productive user experience for our clients and internal staff, for managing, investigating and viewing Spatial Intelligence artifacts and insights.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Build and deploy high-performance, highly-available, highly-scalable front end web

application data process

- Build out and iterate on web application UI/UX

- Own the end to end software function of front end services; including deploy, run,

provisioning, failovers, testing

- Work within the team to design, build, and maintain various web application features

to the support platform’s goals

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

The frontend developer needs to be proficient with various front technologies and tool sets.

- Build web applications with React and Typescript, with reusable React components

- Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM (or pnpm )

- Design responsive web applications with CSS (or SASS/SCSS)

- Create designs and wireframes and convert them into high quality code

- Knowledge of modern authentication and authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token (JWT), SSO (OAuth)

- Knowledge of best practices for security in web applications and experience protecting against them (e.g. OWASP Top 10)

- Experience working in a microservice environment (e.g. Kubernetes, ECS, etc...)

- Integrate with GraphQL and RESTful backend APIs. With GraphQL using Apollo Client.

- Dev Experience tools: eslint, prettier, husky, tilt

- Using Github and Code Versioning methodology

- Excellent troubleshooting skills, efficient communication and ability to work independently but cohesively within a team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with streaming videos

- Experience writing and containerizing (using Docker) supporting backend service

- Usage of Apollo Server Playground, Yoga, or similar

- Usage of Postman for REST and GraphQL API testing
