What’s the role?

We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Solutions Architect with expertise in Compensation and Advanced Compensation to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of compensation solutions within our Workday ecosystem. The ideal candidate will also have strong knowledge of Workday Security and Reporting, ensuring a comprehensive approach to our North American HR Digital Solutions. This role will serve as a strategic partner to HR and other stakeholders, driving the alignment of Workday capabilities with business needs.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Lead the design and configuration of Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation modules for NA to meet business needs in partnership with the global Workday team.
  • Partner with HR leaders to define compensation strategies and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.
  • Ensure seamless integration of Compensation and Advanced Compensation processes within the broader Workday platform.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and leading practices in Compensation and Advanced Compensation to design and deliver scalable, user-centered Workday solutions that enhance the employee experience and drive operational efficiency.
  • Manage and prioritize the Compensation & Advanced Compensation tickets in our ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution of issues, effective stakeholder communication, and continuous improvement of the system performance and user satisfaction

System Configuration and Optimization:

  • Configure Workday Compensation modules, including merit & bonus programs, to support annual cycles and ad-hoc processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging Workday features to enhance user experience and efficiency.
  • Stay current with Workday releases, proactively identifying features to improve compensation processes.
  • Lead end-to-end system testing for Compensation and Advanced Compensation enhancements from a Technology perspective, ensuring solution integrity and functionality.

Security and Reporting:

  • Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to define and maintain Workday Security roles, ensuring data access compliance.
  • Provide guidance on security best practices and ensure alignment with organizational policies.
  • Develop and maintain advanced reports and dashboards in Workday to support Compensation processes and decision-making.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Build strong partnerships and collaboration with the regional and global Compensation teams to co-design effective Workday solutions, ensure accurate and timely processing, and drive alignment between system capabilities and operational needs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather requirements and provide expert recommendations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of compensation-related projects.
  • Lead change management for Compensation and Advanced Compensation enhancements from a Technology perspective, ensuring stakeholder alignment and seamless adoption across impacted user groups.
  • Leverage creative problem solving and deep Workday expertise to propose innovative and alternative solutions that address complex requirements while aligning with system capabilities and business objectives.

Project Leadership:

  • Act as the technical lead for end-to-end implementation of Compensation and Advanced Compensation solutions, including planning, execution, testing, and go-live support.
  • Provide detailed documentation for configurations, workflows, and processes to support ongoing maintenance and enhancements.
  • Support the bi-annual Workday Release updates including discovery, analysis, recommendations, and regression testing.
